Formatting with JCE is a powerful feature that allows you to choose between several pre-defined styles and create your own. It is best practice to use as much of the built-in styling as possible, so knowing it will help your website run more efficiently. All of the buttons have a description when hovered over.
HTML Styles

HTML Styling is accessed in the top right corner of the editor window, allowing you to change the present position or highlighted text to the desired style. Styles have their own unique characteristics which are displayed in the editor content area as they will be on the website. The alignment buttons to the immediate left of the style box allow you to set text alignment easily. Additional styling features are available throughout the next row.

Direct HTML

HTML can be manually input into a content item using the button. This will bring up a window that html can be input into directly.
