Every view is set within the top level category, including the category layout views and the individual item views. Each child category can be assigned to the parent to inherit those parameters. Every article, when created, will by default inherit these parameters.

Heirarchical Structure

Categories can be structured in a tree-like format to allow organization of content. There are unlimited tiers for sub-categories, but a limit of 3 or 4 is suggested. Each category can have it's own unique set of view parameters, in addition to the ability to inherit from a parent category or any other category, regardless of their relationship.

      • owner information page - Inherits all view parameters from Main Category

      • about products page - Inherits all view parameters from Main Category

    • Products Category - This category will NOT inherit parameters, but will have it's own layout for product display

      • about products 2 category - This category can have it's own specific view parameters in order to showcase a particular line of products

        • product 2 - inherits from products 2 category
